Customer Testimonials
Hi, Jan!

Pam and I wanted to thank you, Roger, and your good people for your fine reception last week. Hope your Christmas/Anniversary party was a hoot. Bet it was. We enjoyed Beaufort very much and our cruise south has gone very well from that point to this.

We're currently about 35 miles north of Charleston, SC. Should be in Jacksonville, FL by mid-next week. Was wondering, Jan, if you could send Roger's e-mail address. He and I will be staying in touch over the winter re. possible work on Next Chapter in the spring. Happiest of holidays to you and your crew!

Pam and Grant Hooker
Jan,
Thank you for all of the efforts you and your team have made; it is a pleasure to work with knowledgeable, friendly and professional people (a rarity these days).

Keith Hochheiser, Jarrett Bay 32'
I appreciate your efforts with this sale and moving the required actions along in a very efficient manner. It was a pleasure working with you on this deal, and I certainly will be happy to work with you on any other deals of this nature in the future, and of course I will highly recommend you to any of my friends looking in the direction of this type business.  Thanking you again for your efforts. Have a Great Day.

If all goes well, by the time you guys read this, the Jet Lag should finally be starting its trip down to its new home in Peru. I'd like to thank everyone for all the assistance, patience, hard work and attention to detail you've put in since the day Peter took us to see a boat which we thought was out of our possibilities. The service offered by Jarrett Bay and Precision Marine has been outstanding - even though our boat was one of the smallest ones on the yard.

I'd like to thank Peter for guiding us to the right boat and taking care of the sea trials, Keith for having the inmense knowledge, attention and patience to help us figure out what needed to be done on the boat and getting it done, George for the excellent work on the engines and making sure no details went un-checked (will be e-mailing you about the Iveco's some years from now), Kendra and Angela for helping us tie up all the loose ends, bills and paperwork, and Wayne for making sure we could sea trial the boat during my visit last February.

It has truly been a wonderful experience for us (and the boat isn't even here), and we know it was in large part due to you guys.

Have no doubt that if anyone here asks for a recommendation of where to get a boat, Jarrett Bay will be the only one on the list.

Once again, we extend our deepest gratitude at everyone at Jarrett Bay and Precision Marine.

Best regards,

Mateo, Raul, and the rest of the Musso Family, Jet Lag 31′ CABO 1999

Dear Madam,

As you probably have been informed, I've twice visited Portsmouth, VA for the sole purpose of purchasing [a 65' motor yacht]. The deal is not finalized yet, because she has failed to pass the engine survey. However, I must stress the great importance of broker Mr. Mark Connors, for keeping this deal alive.

After twice failing the mechanical survey from the official distributor of Detroit Diesel engines in Virginia, and among other problems, the deal is still alive mainly due to Mr. Connors - who is handling the deal professionally, honestly and responsibly. He has given me the confidence that I am dealing with a good, trust-worthy company in Jarrett Bay Yacht Sales.

After spending a few hours together while I was in Portsmouth, and being in touch with him for almost three months, I understand that he is dealing in this professional manner with all of his customers.

Whatever happens to my deal, I must emphasize to you that with out Mr. Connors handling this deal, it probably would not have gone this far.

Hoping to conclude the deal very soon.

Best Regards,
Michael Baxevanis, Athens, Greece
Dan,
I just wanted to write a quick note regarding a recent boat purchase your company assisted me with. Lee Falls your broker in Charleston is top notch. I had been looking for a bigger boat for a couple of years and dealt with a lot of different salespeople, Lee is head and shoulders above his competition. The boat I purchased was one of his listings so he had the difficult task of making two parties happy, which he did in a very professional manner. From the buyers side we are extremely happy. After the sale most salespeople are on to the next deal, Lee has been around to make sure that we are comfortable and have a full understanding of our new boat and it's systems. Which I consider above and beyond the call of duty.
I consider Lee a great asset to your company and to me and my family for future boat purchases.

Thanks again and thanks Lee !!!

Hello Jan,
I believe we met briefly in NC in Sept.  I ended up purchasing a used 36 Albemarle from JB working with Bob Hoste.  I thought I would drop you a note with some positive feedback on the process.  I was very pleased with several things I experienced:

1) Bob acted in a consultative manner.  I never felt pressured as one usually does around boat sales people.  He was willing to tell me the good, the bad and also tell me what he didn't know and follow up on these items  (for example with regard to some engine details)

2) Bob really knows the product in the context of how it is used - i.e. he fishes offshore and can relate the boat's capabilities in that context.  It is good to work with someone who understands the customer's priorities.

3) Bob went way above and beyond to make the sale, shuttling to the airport, helping with logistics on the trade-in, etc.  He also has followed up at every step of the way to make sure things are working out.  As a bonus, he even sends me fishing reports from my area (not that I can use them now as my new boat is sitting in your yard until spring, but they are still appreciated).

It has been very nice working with your firm and staff.  I look forward to the day Bob sells me one of your custom boats.

Best Regards

Seth Henry

Mark,
I wanted to tell you how great it has been to settle down in the new boat... my "Green Eyed Lady". Quite frankly, you are the reason that it became a reality. Your willingness to go the extra mile in the midst of your busy boat show season to pursue my boat in New England with winter fast approaching was amazing... and to top it off you had to deal with a very cantankerous and reluctant seller. You gave me the confidence to continue to pursue this deal as I knew your primary focus was always for my best interest and not just to make a sale. Just as impressive has been your follow-up and help with any request after the closing. Your professionalism is to be applauded. I would recommend you to any of my friends looking to purchase a boat. It was a delight to work with you... not to mention get to know a new friend. I look forward to seeing you down at the docks when I am in town.

Thanks Again,

David Worstine

Dear Mr. Miltz,
In March of 2007 I purchased a 268 Albemarle Express which I have really enjoyed.

Recently I have experienced some mechanical problems dealing with the engine & the outdrive. Although, my problems are not totally resolved I am continually working with a member of your staff, Mr. Wayne Henry who is helping me get these items corrected. This letter is to commend Jarrett Bay Yacht Sales on the service I received from Mr. Henry. Every issue with the boat has been or is being addressed with prompt and courteous service. Jarrett Bay Yacht Sales should be proud to have Mr. Henry as their employee.

I hope one day to move up to the 320- Express & I will be sure to contact Jarrett Bay Yacht Sales. Again thank you for your sincere and professional service.

Sincerely,

Jimmie E. Carson

Dear Mr. Ramsey,
I am the former President and owner of the OTA University in Berlin, Germany, and an active "Mariner" for over 40 years. In all these years, I have purchased and sold many yachts, and I have therefor met my share of boat brokers.
Four weeks ago, I purchased a Hatteras 60 through Chuck Meyers at Jarret Bay in Baltimore. First of all, I would like to congratulate you to have found such an employee as Chuck. He has been more than helpful to us. Most brokers we have known are friendly and helpful up until the day the Boat is sold. The service, and level of attention we have received from Chuck is unbelievable.

After I bought the boat, I needed to undergo surgery back in Germany, and therefore I couldn't move the boat from Baltimore. During this time, I have really learned what great service is. Chuck had taken care of the yacht for me while I was in Germany, without me even having to ask. When the weather was bad, he went to check if the dock-lines would hold, and when we needed something done on the boat, Chuck was the one who organized everything. All around, we are stunned by the way Chuck has helped us, especially after the sale. This is something we have never experienced before and are very grateful for.

Furthermore, I would like to give my compliments for Miss Kelly Jaeger, who has also helped us in every situation. She was available to us ever since we set foot in their door. Always friendly and a nice smile.
After all these great experiences, Jarret Bay will always be remembered with me.

Sincerely Yours,

Erman Tanyildiz

Hi Joe,
It truly was my pleasure working with professionals like yourself and Todd. You provided everything to get me started, including the factory tour, the training session for Anita and myself and the nice extras in the Jarrett Bay bag. We have already had the Kelly Marie out in 4-6 ft. seas with no problems. I am still working to regulate gas from left tank to right tank but am following the directions given. Several people, including John Dudley, the marina owner, have said what a beautiful boat she is. They even put her on the front row next to Highway 24 to show off their tenant boats!! Please let your management know what a happy buying experience we have had with you!!

George & Anita

To whom this may concern,
I have been boating now for almost fifteen years (mostly West Coast) and have worked exclusively with boat manufacturers for the purchase of all of my boats. This was my first experience with a brokerage, and I was skeptical at first. I recently bought a Luhrs 360 open from a gentleman, and I worked with Mr. Mark Conners on this deal. In fact, I had been working with Mr. Conners for quite a while looking at several boats before making a final decision. I must have "drove him nuts" with all my questions and phone calls, not to mention time looking at boats. I know this is his job but he went above and beyond the call of duty, in my humble opinion. He always had time for me no matter what he was doing. I have never had such a great and low-key experience in my life. Each time I had a question about something, Mark was there with an answer and made me feel like I was just as important as a customer buying a multi-million dollar yacht. I always felt like he was honest with me and always "told me like it is." And as a result, I feel that my new found boat is a winner and will serve me well at least for a few years. I truly had a great Jarrett Bay experience, and will not hesitate to work with Mark and Jarrett Bay in the future for my next boat… And it's only a matter of time before I "outgrow" this one. Thanks to Jarrett Bay for a "JOB WELL-DONE." It's nice to know there are people in this business one can still count on.

Very Respectfully and Sincerely,
A very satisfied customer!

Rob Stabley

Dear Ben,
Just a note to say thanks for all of your tireless efforts over the last 12-15 months in finally selling me a new boat. We will have many enjoyable days aboard our new 50' Hatteras Convertible. I have met many yacht brokers and salespeople over the years. Your commitment to customer satisfaction and trustworthiness is not found in many.

I have owned boats for over 35 years. This is my first Hatteras but will certainly not be my last. With your help, I will always be eager to own more additions from the Hatteras Yachts line-up in the future.

Thanks for your patience and help with this purchase. Best wishes for contined success. With warmest personal regards, I remain,

Sincerely,

Brian L. Pecheles

Clark,
I look forward to thanking you in person for your very able help throughout this (boat sale) exercise. It was always a pleasure to work with you, and if anybody ever wants to talk to someone who has worked with you, I'll be very pleased to tell them how good the experience was.

Best regards,

George Webb

Dear Randy,
Congratulations on receiving three prestigious awards at the Hatteras Yachts 2005 Dealership Awards ceremony last month. It is quite an accomplishment to walk away with the Customer Service Award indicating highest scores from your customers, the Dealer Performance Award, and the Gold Sales Achievement Award.
Best wishes for continued success.

Regards,

David A. Leik

I just read about your Hatteras award and would like to congratulate your company for getting this honor. I knew as I was working with your company to get my new Hatteras, you were much different than most other dealers and how you do business. It is certainly the way I like, rather than with the "sharks" who are notorious in your industry.
Once again, keep it up. You are helping change the industry.

Rich Tranchida

Hi all,
Most of you are probably sick of hearing from me but never fear, the end is near as the boat has finally arrived! It was a long process, I think we initially enquired around New Years eve which makes it nigh on a five month project however the long and short of it is we could not be happier. As you are probably aware we are fortunate enough in Australia to have a strong dollar at the moment which makes importing a boat from the US a viable prospect, and one that many people are talking about and contemplating. As such I thought I would put together a few names and contacts to share that made the process straight forward, informative and most of all saved us the expense of a trip to the States to check the boat out ourself.

First and foremost I would like to thank Clark Sneed at Jarrett Bay Yacht Sales. From the get go Clark went above and beyond the call of duty to help us out with any questions or requests we had concerning the boat. This extended well past the point of contract signing and payment and we simply could not have gone ahead with the purchase if it wasn’t for his ongoing assistance in all things from transport, storage, cleaning, photos – anything and everything. Could not recommend Clark enough so thankyou Clark. csneed@jarrettbay.com cell 919-669-1304 office 252-728-2645

So it’s all done – it arrived last Friday the 3rd June, cleared customs and registered the same day, 400mile trip home Saturday, checked the oil and the motors fired straight up, everything works and we were out on the water Sunday. No fishing as yet but plenty planned, we will send some pics through. Also feel free to contact me or point other potential Australian clients in my direction if they have any questions - there was a lot of little hurdles that we jumped in the process that are difficult to find information out about that I would be happy to pass along.

Sincerely,

Travis Heaps and Isaac Denny, 2007 - 23’ Contender

My name is Emmett Horgan, I am the recent purchaser of a Grand Banks Heritage 41. I might add that I am a happy owner of a Grand Banks Heritage 41. My reason for this note is to pass on my comments about my experience with Jarrett Bay Yacht Sales.

I have purchased a number of boats over the years with this being my first Grand Banks. I give high marks to the entire staff at JarrettBay. There is a sincere concern for the customer and making sure that the many details in the boat purchase are carried out professionally. I can't say that in some of my past experiences with some of the well know boat dealers. I would like to call out Wayne Henry who has been my coordinator in the delivery process and I will say that he is exemplifies the "Customer Care" philosophy. His follow up in making sure that the small details are complete made this a pleasant experience. We all know the small details make all the difference. Chuck Myers, my sales representative handled the purchase experience in a very professional manner and evidentially did a great job in convincing me of the quality of a Grand Banks.

I think it's also important to point out that Jan Boone went out of her way to make sure that this process went smoothly. It is not often that upper management at any level is as evident in the process as Jan was.

Again, I give a big "Atta Boy" award to the members of JarrettBay. Yes as all avid boaters when you step foot on your new boat you are looking at your next one (don't let my wife know 8-) ) - hopefully it will be a Grand Banks and with folks like JarrettBay there is a good chance it will be.

Emmett Horgan, Grand Banks Heritage 41

Mr. Mooney,
I've had the very pleasant experience of working with one of your brokers in the Baltimore office, Chuck Meyers. I've been working with Chuck since January looking at several boats. I purchased and took delivery of a 2001 Cruisers 3870 this past Saturday, April 9. I've owned several boats over the past 25 years and need to tell you that the purchase of the Cruisers 3870 has been an extremely pleasant experience due, in large part, to Chuck. An extremely knowledgeable and pleasant man to work with. In my opinion, he went above and beyond working with me. Rest assured. I will be recommending Chuck and Jarrett Bay to my boater friends.

Regards,

Jon Morrow
