Randy Ramsey Chairman
Randy Ramsey is Jarrett Bay Yacht Sales' Chairman, and is primarily
responsible for overseeing the company's day-to-day operations. Randy
and Dan Reitz founded the company in April 2003 and are the dealer
principals in the organization. Randy is also the Founder and President of Jarrett Bay Boatworks. He has been involved in almost every aspect of the boating and fishing industries throughout his life-from running a charter fishing operation to founding the Harker's Island Sportfishing School, from building boats for Harris Boat Works to marine surveying for various underwriters, from becoming a licensed Coast Guard captain and yacht broker to running the world's leading custom boat manufacturing & service facility.
Randy lives in Carteret County and has one son, Alan. He is a very active member of numerous local & regional boards. Most notably, Randy has served on the Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament's Board since 1983, serving as president in 2003 & 2004. He also serves on the board of the North Carolina Manufacturer's Association & the North Carolina State University Student Aid Association, among many others.
Dan Reitz Chief Executive Officer
Dan Reitz is Jarrett Bay Yacht Sales' CEO, and is primarily responsible
for overseeing the company's strategic planning and financial matters.
Dan and Randy Ramsey founded the company in April, 2003 and are the
dealer principals in the organization. Prior to joining Jarrett Bay, Dan ran his own private equity and advisory firm, Front Porch Capital, and was co-owner and CFO of Big Rock Sports, a national group of wholesalers of fishing tackle and hunting equipment. He has recently held leadership positions with the American Sportfishing Association and the Carteret County Economic Development Council, among others.
Dan lives outside of Morehead City, NC with his wife, Tricia, and their daughters, Jackie and Stephanie. Dan coaches soccer and basketball and enjoys boating, golf and travel.
Jan Boone President
After an extensive tenure overseeing global sales for Hatteras Yachts,
Jan joined the JBYS family in March, 2008. Known the world over as one
of the most dedicated and respected sales professionals in the yacht
industry, her wide-ranging skill set and broad-based perspective is
taking JBYS to an entirely new level in sales performance and customer
satisfaction. As JBYS President, Jan oversees the new and pre-owned vessel sales efforts for JBYS in five locations from Maryland to South Carolina. She is also responsible for company-wide strategic planning, annual & monthly sales objectives definition & management, sales & market trend analysis, and manufacturer & customer relations supervision.
She currently lives in New Bern, NC with her husband JB and daughter Lauren, and works out of JBYS headquarters in Beaufort, NC.
Todd Anderson Quality Assurance Manager
Todd joined JBYS in February 2007 to oversee their fleet of world-class yachts, and ensure that all new boat deliveries resulted in positive customer experiences. Over the course of nearly 30 years, Todd has amassed an impressive resume of private and corporate boating accomplishments, including captaining of the Hatteras Yachts factory demonstrator, Hatterascal, and a roster of privately owned boats ranging in size from a 32' Jarrett Bay to a 116' Broward. Additionally, Todd's Chapman's School for Surveying and 100-ton Masters USCG captain accreditations are assets that will make the JBYS customer experience second to none. He currently lives in Wilmington, NC with his wife Robin, who both enjoy boating and inshore fishing in their free time.Wayne Henry Customer Relations Coordinator
Wayne joined JBYS in June 2007 to support our Quality Assurance Manager,
as well as to assist with customer service and processing warranty
claims. Living in coastal North Carolina his entire life, Wayne grew up
on boats and is extremely familiar with our company and the brands we
represent - making him an ideal addition to our team of boating
professionals. Wayne graduated from East Carolina University with a degree in Business, and currently lives in Atlantic Beach. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and being out on the water as much as possible.
Heidi Speciale Controller
Heidi Speciale joined JBYS in June 2007 as Controller. Heidi has a
wealth of accounting experience, which makes her a perfect match for
her very demanding position here. Previously, she was the controller
for Islamorada, a hugely popular retail store located in Emerald Isle,
NC, and prior to that she served as the cash manager for John Hopkins
Hospital-Wyman Park in Baltimore. Heidi grew up on Long Island, NY, spending her summers on the beach at the Hamptons. Heidi graduated from Dowling College with a BA in Accounting. Heidi enjoys spending her free time with her family and watching baseball.
Robin Anderson Marketing Manager
Robin and the talented team at Stealth Marketing manage Jarrett Bay's promotions. Her tenure in the field, combined with an extremely creative group of multimedia aficionados have helped Jarrett Bay Yacht Sales gain significant market share in the new and pre-owned boating marketplace since JBYS' founding in May, 2003.Bob Hoste Broker
After running boats from New Jersey to North Abaco and beyond, as well as a successful outdoor sports retail operation for 20-years, Hoste transitioned his passion for the ocean into a successful career in new and pre-owned yacht sales. His experience, knowledge, and far-reaching reputation as one of the most honest and outgoing in the industry make it no surprise that Hoste is a two-time recipient of Hatteras Yachts' Salesman of the Year award. With Hoste at the helm, and a multi-billion dollar boating business recently reported by the Marine Trades Association of New Jersey, the growth curve for JBYS is expected to continue on its stellar path despite the economic turndown.
Paul Davis Broker
Paul Davis acquired his passion for all things sportfishing from a
lifetime of summers spent on the waters of New England and the
mid-Atlantic. After several years honing his customer service skills
selling marine electronics and overseeing new boat deliveries and
warranty claims, he ventured into new boat sales. As a certified
salesperson for Hatteras, Triton, Sailfish and Regal, Paul equally
enjoyed successes in the smaller cruiser and sportfishing boat markets,
as well as in the larger yacht market. One of Paul's most notable sales
accomplishments was his role in helping a past employer to achieve
membership status in the Sailfish brand's Million Dollar Club. Paul
joined JBYS in 2008, and is eager to expand on his successes by making
his customer's boat buying and selling experiences something they look
forward to again and again.
Bill Berger Broker
Bill Berger is a graduate of St. Mary's College of Maryland where he
played NCAA Basketball & Baseball in a spectacular waterfront
setting in the heart of the Chesapeake Bay region. He has been a yacht
broker since 1995 and joined Jarrett Bay Yacht Sales in 2004 with the
opening of the Gloucester Point office in Virginia. Bill enjoys spending time with his three daughters, Yasmine, Rachel and Hallie, and boating & fishing on the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries. His passions include offshore fishing, stockcar racing, Harley Davidsons and custom motorcycles.
Brynner Parks Broker
For 30 years, Brynner Parks' personal & Smoker Charters fishing
successes have been the talk on the docks from Ocean City, Maryland to
Oregon Inlet, North Carolina to international waters near & far.
Parks' exceptional customer service skills, hands-on product knowledge
and gracious demeanor have fielded a fiercely loyal customer base which
he now enjoys serving on a new level as their broker of choice. Based
at the center of the mid-Atlantic's phenomenal recreational
sportfishing & boatbuilding marketplace, Parks continues to build

Bob Weintraub Broker
Captain Bob is an institution at our Tidewater Marina office in
Portsmouth, VA. Mile Marker Zero on the Intracoastal Waterway is the
home to one of the most experienced pre-owned yacht brokers in America.
Captain Bob maintains a large inventory of selected brokerage boats and
trades. Captain Bob has the latest information on financing, insurance
and yacht documentation. If you need a survey, ask Captain Bob for the
area's most qualified. Captain Bob can also oversee your haul-out
inspection at Tidewater marina.
Doug Curtiss Broker
Doug Curtiss is no stranger to sales and marketing, having spent 25 years as an outside salesman for one of the country’s largest plumbing and heating wholesalers, which taught him the importance of customer satisfaction. Now with over 5 years dedicated to the marine industry in boat sales, Doug is poised to help all of his clients with their boat buying or selling needs.As an avid fisherman and long time boater, Doug has the hands on knowledge of the industry to help his clients locate and evaluate the right boat to meet their specific needs.
Chuck Meyers Broker
Chuck grew up in Maryland in a boating family. Cruising on the
Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries, he developed a passion for boats at
a young age. In 1994, Chuck acquired his Coast Guard Masters license
and soon after graduating college, went to work managing marinas and
boatyards. In 1997, Chuck completed an Advanced Propulsion Course with Propeller Dynamics in Australia and moved to Ft. Lauderdale to run a propeller design and repair shop. Although Chuck loved the boating lifestyle of South Florida, he returned to the Chesapeake Bay to be closer to his family. Upon his return, Chuck started a career in yacht brokerage and has since established a loyal base of clients who have entrusted him with the sale and purchases of their vessels.
Chuck believes the most rewarding part of this business is the friendships he has made with his clients. He is always eager to help, and prides himself on being involved in all aspects prior to, during, and after the sale.
Roger Mooney Broker
As a Maryland native, Roger has enjoyed boating and offshore sportfishing for as long as he can remember. His keen interest in this sport lead him to obtain his captain's license at the early age of nineteen while charter fishing out of Bahia Mar Marina in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
The combination of Roger's lifetime experiences, his broad knowledge of the marine industry and his enduring love of both tournament and fun fishing, give him a complete perspective of the brokerage business and how best to serve his clients well before and after the sale.
Roger currently lives in Baltimore County with his wife, Clare, and their two daughters. In Roger's free time, he enjoys coaching lacrosse for his daughters' school, as well as hunting and fishing.
Mark Connors Broker
An avid fisherman and accomplished captain, Mark has spent his entire
working life in the marine industry. His deep passion for boating and
fishing started during his childhood while spending summers on Harker's
Island, NC. Mark's knowledge of the sea, his conservative upbringing,
and his love of people are evident when interacting with his customers.
Born in Winston-Salem, NC, Mark Connors got his start in the marine industry while living in Annapolis, MD. After attending Hampden-Sydney and Washington College in Maryland, he began his career in Annapolis working for the Annapolis Boat Show, and was instrumental in the development of the successful Annapolis Powerboat School. Mark has had experience with a wide variety of boats including Hatteras, Tiara, Bertram, Post, and Viking. Mark holds his 100-ton Near-Coastal Masters License.
Ben Green Broker
Ben Green started the brokerage office at Jarrett Bay in 1997. He has extensive sales & management experience derived from the twenty-two years spent in the recreational vehicle sales industry and as a business owner for eleven years.
Ben began charter fishing while working in the recreational vehicle industry and eventually acquired four charter boats over a ten-year time period-the last of which was a custom 50' Jarrett Bay. His ownership and great satisfaction with his Jarrett Bay inspired him to join our family. His knowledge and experience have had him leading the fleet since that day.
Ben lives in Morehead City, NC with his wife Rosemary. When he's not selling, he enjoys fishing, hunting and cooking.
Howard Basnight Broker
After graduating from N.C State University in 1979 with a business
degree, Howard spent close to 10 years in the banking business. In
1988, Howard left the corporate world to pursue his passion: boats
and offshore sport fishing. Running his own charter fishing business
for over 10 years, and a private boat for the past five years, Howard
has become a well recognized and respected fixture on the tournament
circuit. With many tournament victories to his credit, Howard also
enjoys the distinction of catching the only granderâ blue marlin
ever caught out of Morehead City, NC. Howard has been a board member of the Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament for over 10 years and currently serves on its Rules Committee :“ a testament to his dedication, integrity and knowledge. He also manages the tournament's charter boat dock Big Rock Landingť. Howard's business background, along with an intimate knowledge of boats, has well prepared him to serve his customer's needs above and beyond their expectations.
Married for over 20 years to Carol, they have a daughter, Elizabeth, and a son, Walt. In his free time, Howard enjoys hunting and following his alma mater Wolfpack.
Peter Dubose Broker
Peter DuBose may have only been an official "company man" since 2002,
however, he has been closely involved with Jarrett Bay since he signed
the company's first three-boat contract back in 1989. Peter helped
build and has owned & operated two Jarrett Bays that charter fished
out of Oregon Inlet, NC and the Bahamas since 1990. Peter's hands on approach to customer service and his at-the-helm experience with various types of custom and production boats make him a natural addition to the Jarrett Bay family. Prospective production and custom buyers stand to benefit from Peter's attention to detail, whether it be providing a consultant for tax incentives or crawling through the engine room to make a repair.
After
spending six seasons on the Great Barrier Reef and cruising the entire
Caribbean and Mexico, Peter and his clients can usually easily find a
port in common. Currently however, Peter has happily settled down in
Morehead City, NC with his wife, Evelyn and their son Petey.
Joe Green Broker
Born in Morehead City, with family ties dating back to the earliest
coastal North Carolina navigators, it is fair to say that Joe has
boating in his blood. After serving six years in the U.S. Coast Guard
and earning his captain's license, Joe enjoyed a successful career
selling boats ranging from 18- to 45-feet for two large dealerships.
Most recently Joe served as general manager for a marine dealership and
marina, where he was instrumental in their earning NMMA's Certified
Marina accreditation. Joe's strong ties to the boating community and
full-circle knowledge of boats are the perfect tools needed to ensure
his continued success at JBYS. When not helping customers with their boat buying and selling needs, Joe enjoys spending time with his wife and two children hunting, fishing, golfing, and attending soccer and basketball games.
Johnny Hicks Broker
Johnny joined the JBYS Beaufort, NC sales team in October 2008. Hicks was most recently a Sales Manager for Hatteras Yachts, where he was responsible for 72% of yearly sales. Prior to his tenure as a Sales Manager at Hatteras, Hicks served in a series of manufacturing and sales capacities at various yacht companies, with more than 25 years at Hatteras. Over the course of his 30-year boating career, Hicks earned a reputation as a top sales performer, meticulous project manager, dedicated customer service representative, and an authority in the fields of mechanical manufacturing and engineering - Attributes that will prove extremely valuable to JBYS’ new and pre-owned mid-Atlantic customer base.He currently lives in New Bern, NC with his wife Debbie and enjoys fishing, RV’ing, and spending time with his daughter Wendy and two grandsons, John and Logan.
Joe Morris Broker
In addition to being a JBYS Broker, Joe Morris is also the Dockmaster
at the 175-acre Jarrett Bay Boatworks facility in Beaufort, NC (ICW MM
198). Before joining Jarrett Bay in 1999, Joe was the General Manager
of a marina operation in Hatteras, NC . Prior to this, Joe owned a
timber and farming business in Bertie County, NC. With plenty of sales and management experience under his belt, you will always find Joe eager to serve your boating needs in the same reliable and first rate way he has served his customers for years and years.
Joe resides in Beaufort, NC. He has three children and six grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, traveling and spending time with his family.
Randy Ranson Broker
With more than 20 years in the boating industry, ranging from his start in the U.S. Coast Guard to his most recent career as an accredited marine surveyor, Randy Ranson provides his customers with the knowledge and attention to detail that make the buying and selling processes hassle-free. Randy's time spent as a project coordinator is a proven asset for new boat customers, while his underwriting and warranty claims processing history gives pre-owned vessel customers unparalleled peace of mind.
Randy is very familiar with the Jarrett Bay corporate philosophy of providing superior customer service and going above and beyond to ensure a boating experience like no other thanks to his past employ as the Service Yard Manager. Terrena Foley Office Manager
Terrena grew up in Eastern North Carolina and has very fond memories of
boating with her family on her grandfathers Harkers Island-style boat. Terrena started working for Jarrett Bay Boatworks in 1998, just before they moved to their present location at the 175-acre Marine Industrial Park in Beaufort, North Carolina. She moved over to Jarrett Bay Yacht Sales in 2003.
Terrena lives in Eastern Carteret County with her husband Kevin and their son Devan and daughter Brittany.

Bill Aldridge Broker
Bill has been around boats most of his life and has been in the boating
industry for over 15 years. When first moving to the coast in the late
80's, he started a yacht maintenance business, earned his captains
license and ran boats along the Atlantic coast & in the Bahamas for
several years. Bill is also a past chairman of the Cape Fear Blue
Marlin Tournament and still fishes in as many offshore tournaments as
he can. Bill's love of fishing and boating is evidenced in his strong client relationships, his attention to detail, and when dealing with perspective buyers and sellers-in making the deals run as smoothly as possible. His knowledge of the Hatteras line is extensive, as was demonstrated in a 2003 Hatteras University training session where Bill earned the class valedictorian award.
Bill currently lives in Wilmington and spends much of his free time with his daughter, Ashlyn. Bill is looking forward to serving new clients in the upcoming months.
Clark Sneed Broker
Clark has been around boats and the boating industry for over 30 years.
Early in his career, he spent his summers in North Carolina as a mate
and then as a captain of a charter boat, while winters were spent
running a commercial fishing boat. In 1982, he started running private
yachts throughout the East Coast, Gulf and Caribbean, fishing numerous
tournaments and cruising to many destinations near and far. Clark's first-hand knowledge of boats and equipment is a plus in dealing with customers from the building process all the way through to delivery. Clark's vested time on the water paid off in 2005 as he was named one of Hatteras Yachts' Top 5 Salesmen worldwide, and also received the Jarrett Bay Yacht Sales Top New Vessel Sales award.
Lee Chapman Falls Broker
Lee Falls was born and raised in the Carolinas and has spent his entire
life on the water with friends & family. In his youth, Lee was a
boating and sailing instructor at a summer camp in North Carolina. It
was here that he embarked on a life-long pursuit to always be on the
water. As an accomplished sailor, Lee traveled the world as a delivery
captain and crew on various sailing & sportfishing yachts. His last
tour of duty was on an 80' Dynamique sailing yacht in the Caribbean,
South & Central America, as well as the Bahamas and East Coast of
the United States. After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Charleston, he obtained his USCG OUPV Captain's License and then upgraded to the 100 Ton Master License. In keeping with his love of all things water, Lee decided to pursue a career in yacht sales in recent years. Specializing in the sale of sportfishing boats and motoryachts, his experience on the water serves to protect his customer's interests by helping them to make well informed decisions.
Lee continues to enjoy his spare time in Charleston with his family and friends boating, salt- & fresh water fishing, surfing, hiking & camping.
Gerald Couturier Broker
While enjoying successful careers in the transportation, broadcast television, and consumer electronics industries, Gerald always spent his free time on the water. When he was presented with the opportunity to become involved in the marine industry in 1995, he found his true calling, and has yet to look back. His complete range of fishing passions, from surf fishing to offshore ventures make him an ideal match to sell Jarrett Bay’s broad range of new & preowned offerings.
Phil Stoegerer Broker

Phil has dedicated his career to the marine industry developing experience in the retail yacht sector, as well as, yacht manufacturing in domestic and international capacities. His many years of expereince were mainly working with Owners and Captains from all over the world in selling existing built inventory or yachts under construction. Phil is quoted as saying, "I have a very strong technical background representing million dollar items that targeted many different types of people and a variety of product lines."
Phil's experience started over 20 years ago in the Marine Industry from his early teens working in the yard learning the marine service business then being hired to help maintain and match race the owner(s) sailing yacht where he traveled many miles logging valuable experience along the way. To help further his marine career Phil then graduated college with a Bachelor Degree in Marketing/Sales with a Finance and Business Law background. He then worked in the retail yacht segment and developed "hands-on" yacht sales and finance experience. Phil then crossed careers and went into domestic and international yacht manufacturing sales working for such companies as Donzi Marine, Marquis and Cabo Yachts.
Phil and his family enjoy outdoor activities, primarily sportfishing.
